Dim Sum Anyone?

Story Behind this Painting: Living in Victoria I was always fascinated with the vibrant activity on Fisgard Street. Following a brief rain shower, I noticed the luminous sidewalk scene. I wanted to capture the contrast of the metal statue in the foreground and the silky texture of the festive lanterns. And realizing that this is a storied Chinese eatery, known for it’s Dim Sum and as an iconic landmark for over 80 years just made this location very special.
